Who Is Jon Rahm’s Caddie? Meet Adam Hayes, the Veteran Looper Who’s Been With Rahm Since 2016

Jon Rahm has been at his absolute best ever since turning pro in 2016. The Spaniard is yet to win a major, but he’s already racked up five PGA Tour wins. Rahm is an incredible player who always favors consistency. Likewise, he also prefers a caddie with the same mentality.

Jon Rahm is a serious competitor on the tour. He is always aiming for glory and has a man carrying his bag who expects the same as well. Adam Hayes has been Jon Rahm’s caddie ever since the latter turned pro in 2016.

Adam Hayes and Jon Rahm have matching personalities

Hayes is the man who controls Jon Rahm and maintains his cool on the golf course. He’s a well-experienced caddie who has been caddying for Rahm ever since the Spaniard turned pro about five years ago.

Hayes completed his education at Brevard Community College and the University of Central Florida. Hayes has been an integral factor in helping Jon Rahm gain success on the PGA Tour.

Adam Hayes flew down to Phoenix and first met Jon Rahm and his wife Kelly in 2016. Rahm offered him the job over a phone call after having a brief chat.

“Before I went to work for him I wanted to make sure we got along and that our personalities didn’t clash or anything, so we spent a couple nice days together and played some golf and hung out,” Hayes told ‘The Caddie Network.’

Fortunately, their personalities matched and it has been successful ever since Hayes and Rahm joined hands. Adam Hayes carries so much experience that it has so far been a seamless connection with Jon Rahm.

Hayes has worked with a lot of tour pros

Adam Hayes is no ordinary caddie. He’s earned a lot of reverence on the PGA Tour with his longevity and experience. Hayes began his caddying carrer with the LPGA in 2000 and later switched to the PGA Tour in 2004.

Adam Hayes got his first PGA Tour caddying gig with Vaughn Taylor in 2004. After forming a good relationship with Taylor, Hayes then moved on and worked with different golfers. Webb Simpson, Jason Dufner, Ben Crane, and Russell Henley, are some of the tour pros Hayes has caddied for.

Hayes then parted ways with Henley and joined Jon Rahm in 2016. The pair quickly found success and won their first tournament together in 2017. Though Rahm and Hayes are yet to conquer a major, the latter is extremely satisfied with how things are prevailing.

“He’s become not only a boss but he’s a good friend, I attended his wedding and we just have a really cool relationship where when we are off the course, we are off the course and when we are on the course, we keep it very business-like. I think it’s really worked out well,” Hayes mentioned.

Furthermore, Adam Hayes was reported to be the eighth-highest paid caddie at the end of the 2017 season. Forbes reported that Jon Rahm paid Hayes $520,000 for that year.

Jon Rahm and Adam Hayes have been incredibly consistent since joining hands in 2016. A major championship is the only title lacking from their resume. However, the Spaniard is at a steady pace to win a major title soon!
