Zac Efron ‘splits’ with Aussie girlfriend Vanessa Valladares as radio host Kyle Sandilands reveals details of ‘break-up’

Zac Efron has ‘split’ with his Australian girlfriend Vanessa Valladares, according to reports.

The pair were first linked 10 months ago after Zac relocated Down Under for the pandemic and set up stumps in Byron Bay, where Vanessa worked as a waitress.

After reportedly quitting her job and travelling around the country with her Hollywood actor beau – even appearing in his Netflix series Down To Earth with Zac Efron – it’s now been claimed the pair have called time on their romance, which follows earlier split reports last year.

While The Daily Telegraph confirmed the pair were ‘no longer dating’, Zac’s mate Kyle Sandilands has weighed in on the palaver and shared his two cents, if you cared to know.

Claiming he spoke with the actor the day before reports emerged, the DJ said on The Kyle and Jackie O radio show on Wednesday: ‘It’s not a rumour, it’s for sure true.’

Sharing more details, Kyle – who was a guest at Zac’s recent 33rd birthday party – went on: ‘It’s only recent, but not like yesterday recent, but they’ve gone their separate ways.’

According to the shock jock, there was ‘no drama’ behind the break-up and it was simply down to hectic schedules.

Kyle said: ‘He’s back to work. They spent a lot of time with each other when he wasn’t working, lunching and living in the mansions on the beach, it’s a fabulous life.

‘And then work comes back and kicks you straight back into reality, so it’s a shame.’

The DJ added he’d originally got in contact this week with the star over rumours he’d heard about Vanessa joining the anticipated Byron Baes Netflix series.

He explained: ‘I heard a rumour around, you know that Netflix show they’re going to do in Byron… there was a rumour going around, which was bullsh*t, that Zac was trying to pull strings to get Vanessa on that show. That’s what I rang him about.’

Zac, who has been living in Australia since March last year, met Vanessa while she was working at the Byron Bay General Store & Café.

The pair were photographed together numerous times during their relationship, with sources previously telling E! the romance had changed Zac’s life ‘for the better’.

An insider told the website: ‘He’s very happy being with Vanessa and living in Australia. It’s changed his life for the better.’

They added: ‘They started dating in July and have been together since. They love to travel locally and are very adventurous. They love skiing, surfing and hanging out with both his and her friends.

‘They spend a lot of time outdoors just chilling. She quit her job so she can have the flexibility to travel with him. They are on the same page with that, and it’s working out for them.’
