Emotional Bobby Brown pays tribute to late children as he’s revealed as Crab on The Masked Singer: ‘I do this for my kids’

Bobby Brown unmasked as Crab on The Masked Singer

An emotional Bobby Brown was knocked out of The Masked Singer in a double elimination last night, revealed to be Crab in the trippy celebrity singing contest.

The 52-year-old was given the boot alongside Seashell, which turned out to be Sister Sister star Tamera Mowry.

Before judges Robin Thicke, Nicole Scherzinger, Jenny McCartney, Ken Jeong and guest star Rita Wilson chose to eliminate Crab, Bobby performed a powerful of Phil Collins’ In The Air Tonight.

Speaking to host Nick Cannon, Bobby said he was doing it ‘for his kids’. The singer’s son Bobby Jr died in November 2020 aged 29 while his daughter Bobbi Kristina, who he shared with the late Whitney Houston, died aged 22 in 2015, while he also has five more children – Landon, La’Princa, Cassius, Bodhi, and Hendrix.

‘As everybody knows, I lost my two children,’ he said. ‘I lost my daughter Bobbi Kristina and I lost my son recently, Bobby Junior. They were a part of everything that I do this for. I do this for my kids.

‘I just felt it was essential that I come out here and do it for my little ones – my five-year-old, my four-year-old, and my 11-year-old, you know, to let them see that their dad is still, you know, kicking.’

Bobby Jr died from died from the combined effects of alcohol, cocaine and the opioid fentanyl.

Bobby’s exit follows the likes of Caitlyn Jenner, Logan Paul and even Kermit the Frog who have all been unveiled on current season of The Masked Singer US.

The Masked Singer airs on Fox in the US.
