Genshin Impact 1.5 Update: Yanfei’s Nature, Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst Revealed
The highly anticipated 1.5 update for Genshin Impact is right around the corner. Accordingly, the developers are leaving no stone unturned to enhance the hype for the upcoming mechanics and characters in the game.
One of the biggest highlights of the information revealed about the 1.5 patch has been Yanfei. It seems like miHoYo is finally focused on releasing four-star characters now. Owing to the gacha system, a majority of players cannot unlock all of their favorite characters in Genshin Impact. As a result, four-star characters are very important for their progress, and also help in sustaining their interest.
We witnessed the four-star Cryo character named Rosaria in the 1.4 update, and Yanfei will continue this trend with the upcoming patch.
Yanfei is the top legal expert in Genshin Impact
Every character in Genshin Impact has their own persona and history. Yanfei is no exception, as she is the most trustworthy legal expert in Liyue. Moreover, she claims to be well versed with every section of the law.

Yanfei’s opinion on law is certainly interesting because she believes it can both be a hinderance, as well as a help. The upcoming four-star character is sure that the people of Liyue can resolve their biggest life problems by simply following the law.

Yanfei’s combat skills
Just like any other character, Yanfei’s combat skills stretch across her Normal/Charged Attack, Elemental Skill, and Elemental Burst:
Normal Attack- Sea of Approval
The best way to utilize this attack is by charging it. It consumes stamina, and after a short period, uses all Scarlet Seals to deal AoE Pyro damage in the area in front of Yanfei.
Elemental Skill- Signed Edict
Yanfei’s Elemental Skill spawns several burning flames that deal AoE Pyro damage. In addition to that, this attack grants a maximum number of Scarlet Seals to her when it hits an enemy.
Elemental Burst- Done Deal
Similar to the Elemental Skill, Yanfei’s Elemental Burst triggers a huge spray of nerve-wrecking flames that chase the nearby opponents. They deal AoE Pyro damage, give a maximum number of Scarlet Seals, and apply Brilliance.
It is worth noting that Brilliance increases the damage of Yanfei’s Charged Attacks. The effect stops when she leaves the field or dies.

All in all, it will be interesting to see how the four-star Pyro Catalyst user compares with the existing characters in Genshin Impact. As for now, players can save their Resin and Materials and prepare for the 1.5 update.
