Harry Styles is set to film a ‘passionate sex scene’ alongside David Dawson for My Policeman, it has been claimed.

The Watermelon Sugar singer recently signed up to the flick, playing gay policeman Tim Burgess, starring opposite The Crown’s Emma Corrin – who is playing as his on-screen wife.

According to reports, the 27-year-old will be stripping off for an intimate scene with David, who has been cast as his love interest, Patrick.

An insider explained he has ‘thrown himself into the new role’, and is ‘excited’ about the challenge.

‘Harry will be having sex on screen and they want it to look as real as possible,’ a source said. ‘The plan is to shoot two romps between Harry and David, then another scene where Harry is naked on his own.

‘Not much is going to be left to the imagination.

‘Harry is throwing himself into this new role and is really excited about the challenge, even though it’s a daunting task.’

They told the Sun that he wants to ‘challenge what people think about him’, and doesn’t always want to do things that viewers will expect.

Which is fair enough.

My Policeman, set in the late 1990s, follows ‘the arrival of elderly invalid Patrick into Marion and Tom’s home’.

This triggers the exploration of seismic events from 40 years previous: the passionate relationship between Tom and Patrick at a time when homosexuality was illegal’.

The movie is based on the novel by the same name by Bethan Roberts, and will be directed by Michael Grandage while the screenplay has been penned by Oscar-nominated Ron Nyswaner.

Filming recently started in Brighton, but a release date has not yet been announced.
