Marvel’s upcoming Hawkeye series has wrapped filming ahead of its launch on Disney Plus, with star Jeremy Renner praising the ‘amazing’ cast and crew for all of their hard work.

This year, fans of the MCU have been spoilt for choice with Marvel releases, with WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier kicking off Phase Four, followed in the months ahead by Loki, Black Widow and Shang Chi.

The Hawkeye series, which will see Jeremy reprise his role as expert marksman Clint Barton, is set to launch on Disney Plus later this year, starring Hailee Steinfeld as his protégé Kate Bishop.

After around four months of filming, which began in December 2020 in New York City, production on the action-packed show has finally finished, a milestone that was commemorated by Jeremy on Instagram.

Sharing a black-and-white photograph of himself clapping, The Hurt Locker actor wrote: ‘Bravo to everyone @marvel @disneyplus, our entire crew, stunt team @heidimoneymaker and amazing cast for all the hard work out into this show!!!

‘We can’t wait to share it. Thank you all for the incredible journey… #hawkeye.’

He also shared a mirror selfie taken on set on his Instagram Story, a picture that was reposted by Hailee on her profile.

‘Last day, for now…’ he wrote in the caption.

‘This is not goodbye, but a see you soon. Thank you cast, crew, and Marvel.’

Several fans expressed their excitement over Hawkeye’s highly-anticipated launch in the comment section of Jeremy’s Instagram post, with one writing: ‘Gonna be a great show! Hawkeye is such an underrated character and deserves more screen time!’

‘I hope this won’t be the last of “Clint Barton” in the Marvel universe?’ another speculated.

The Hawkeye TV series will see fans catch up with Clint after the events of Avengers: Endgame, when the superhero was reunited with his family who disappeared for five years in the Blip caused by Thanos in Infinity War.

Clint will take Kate under his wing, in addition to seemingly introducing viewers to Lucky the Pizza Dog, a fan-favourite canine character from the Marvel comics.

Hawkeye is due to premiere on Disney Plus later this year.
