Love Island star Molly-Mae Hague shells out for ‘extremely high personal security’ because she ‘doesn’t feel safe anywhere’
Molly-Mae Hague has bumped up her personal security after ‘a few incidents’ with strangers turning up the the flat she shares with boyfriend Tommy Fury.
The Love Island star is shelling out to make sure she is protected at all times of the day, admitting she ‘doesn’t feel safe anywhere’.
She has also been swamped with packages from companies trying to get her to advertise their businesses, but has no idea how they would have found out where she lives.
Speaking on her YouTube channel, a frustrated Molly-Mae said: ‘I do have to pay a lot of money a month for an extremely high security for the apartment. We had a few incidents.
‘I don’t feel safe anywhere any more, I didn’t feel safe in our last apartment. I don’t really feel safe anywhere any more because I feel like no matter how much you try to and keep your life private, when you’re in the public eye your life is never private.’
The former islander went on: ‘Honestly it baffles me, I have no understanding of how, but the amount of PR packages that I receive every single day from people from all over the UK that know my address…
‘I feel like one brand got hold of my address and just sent it round. That’s what I feel like has happened. There’s just no possible way that all these different people know my address.’
The model, who lives in Manchester, recalled one unsettling incident when a stranger turned up at their home after ‘driving around where we lived’ to try and find them.
‘I once had someone turn up at the front gate, ringing the gate saying they’ve traveled five hours to the town they knew I lived in and then just drove all around where we lived to find our house,’ Molly-Mae said.
The TV star explained she is willing to shell out for protection so she feels secure when she is in their flat alone.
‘I’ve basically redone the whole security plan for the next month so I basically have permanent security car sat outside the front of the apartment so I know I’m 100% safe,’ she added.
‘When Tommy’s here it’s one thing, but when I’m here by myself I just want that reassurance that I’m 100% safe.
‘It’s just really hard, I’m sure you wouldn’t like it if people knew where you guys lived and I never wanna sound like I’m complaining.’
The couple, who met on the dating show in 2019, moved into a new home last year after the death of their puppy Mr Chai, telling fans at the time that they needed a ‘change of scenery’.
