Marko Names 2 F1 Skills Where Max Verstappen Beats Hamilton

Max Verstappen is one of the most talented drivers on the grid. But Hamilton has always beaten the Dutchman, However, Red Bull’s advisor, Helmut Marko, thinks that Verstappen does do something that makes him better than the seven-time world champion.

Verstappen showed his true pace and better control on the car in the rain-soaked circuit in Imola, this past weekend. The Dutchman crossed the line in the first place and brought home the win for the Milton-Keynes-based outfit.

While Hamilton went off track which saw him fall down the pecking order but had a brilliant recovery which saw him finish in P2, but wasn’t fast enough to catch the leader.

Marko feels Max Verstappen has better control and speed than Hamilton

As quoted by F1. Insider, Marko said, “When it comes to vehicle control and speed, Max is definitely ahead. But Lewis has more experience. That is still in balance at the moment.”

Verstappen brings home Red Bull’s first win of the season at Imola

The Emilia Romagna Grand Prix was the Dutchman’s chance at redemption after failing to win in Bahrain. The 23-year-old was starting P3 but had a good launch that saw him overtake,  Hamilton. He beat the Mercedes driver and won Red Bull’s first race of the season.

After the race in Italy, Verstappen said, “The key, I think, is to have that good launch, which was also a bit of a surprise to me. “After last year where we always struggled in the wet.”

“I think over the winter and beginning of the year we definitely made some improvements to that and today that was very good,” Verstappen concluded.

The Red Bull prodigy currently sits in second place in the driver’s standings behind Britain’s Lewis Hamilton. Verstappen would aim to have a similar result in Portugal in the third round of the championship and hopes he can put on a fight for the title.
