Michael B Jordan opened up about his relationship with girlfriend Lori Harvey, explaining that he’s ‘extremely happy’.

The Creed actor was first linked to the model at the end of the last year, with the pair making their relationship official on Instagram in January – sending us all into a spin with those snaps.

While the 34-year-old has made it a point to keep his private life firmly behind closed doors, he couldn’t help but share their budding romance with fans.

Spilling the beans on exactly why, he told People magazine: ‘I’m still private, and I want to protect that, but it just felt like it was a moment of just wanting to put it out there and move on.

‘I am extremely happy.

‘I think when you get older, you feel more comfortable about the [public nature] of the business that we’re in. So for me, it was a moment to, I guess, take ownership of that and then get back to work.’

Michael and Lori were first linked together after jetting off to Salt Lake City to celebrate New Year’s Eve together – and whipped followers into a downright frenzy when they shared similar snowboarding photos.

Lori, daughter of comedian Steve Harvey, then made things official, sharing a picture of the Black Panther star on her Instagram page, alongside a telling heart emoji.

Shortly after, Steve appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres show, where he had his say on the new member of the family.

‘You know, I have tried not to like him. I have tried to find something wrong with him that I could dig in and go,’ he joked. ‘Cause I done got rid of all of them. All of them.

‘This guy is such a good guy, man. He is one of the nicest guys, man. I’ve met his father. I’ve set up with him, we’ve talked for hours. I just can’t find nothin’ wrong with him.

‘Between me and you, I’m hoping this lasts ’cause this is a really, really good guy.’

‘I can’t whoop him. Most guys, I say I can jump on ’em and take ’em out, but he just looks like a real ass-whoopin’ in the making,’ he added. ‘So I’m just hoping they make it.’

Honestly, same.
