NASCAR Cup Series 2021 Race at Talladega: What Time is the Race? Where to Watch it?

After the NASCAR Cup Series race at Richmond, attention will shift to Talladega in Alabama. This weekend, the drivers will compete in the GEICO 500 at the Talladega Superspeedway. Alex Bowman will head to this race, brimming with confidence after he won the Richmond race.

The Cup Series race weekend kicks off on Sunday with the GEICO 500 at 2:00PM. If there are no live viewers at the Talladega Superspeedway, fans can tune in to FOX Sports. However, Canadian fans have access to TSN1 or TSN5. For this weekend’s race, Denny Hamlin is on pole position with Joey Logano behind him.

Out of all the drivers, Brad Keselowski has won three times at the track. However, he has a tough task ahead of him in 10th place, with plenty of top drivers in front of him. Other GEICO 500 winners include Kyle Busch, Hamlin, Kevin Harvick, Ricky Stenhouse Jr, Chase Elliott, Ryan Blaney and Logano.

What to expect from the NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega?

Having won last year, Blaney will also be a strong contender. The #12 Penske driver isn’t too far away from the front, as he is starting in 7th place. Of course, it would be foolish to rule out Martin Truex Jr, who has two wins in this unpredictable season. Truthfully speaking, there have been multiple different winners in 2021, with eight in the last 9 races.

On the other end of the scale, nobody can predict who will win future races. This is largely because there has been no consistent winner in 2021, apart from Truex Jr, who bagged two. One thing is for sure, the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series has been very gripping. Hopefully, this weekend’s race provides plenty of action and excitement. On the other end of the scale, drivers will do well to avoid the ‘Big One’ on the iconic race track.
