Josh Warrington Claps Back at Emanuel Navarrete, Says ‘I’m a Vulnerable Fighter’

Josh Warrington is one of the most sublime prospects in the featherweight division. Despite a loss in his last fight, Warrington is exploring every way to stay relevant in the division and predominantly the sport. Recently, he was called out by the WBO featherweight champion, Emanuel Navarrete.

Acknowledging the same, the Brit reverted to Navarrete in his own eccentric way. Taking it to his official Twitter handle, he wrote, “I’m a vulnerable fighter now I’ve been chinned. Hopefully, this opens a few more doors in the future, believe me, il re-right my wrong, Then back to it. A lot of life left in the old space raider yet!”

In his last ring outing, ‘The Leeds Warrior’ suffered a lopsided loss to the underdog Mauricio Lara. He came into this bout after almost a two-year hiatus and ring rust was certainly visible in Warrington’s performance.

The former IBF featherweight champion got terrified in this fight by Lara’s astonishing power and ring management skills. Also, this was Warrington‘s first professional loss in his prolonged boxing stint.

Even Emanuel Navarrete asked the 30-year-old to confront Mauricio Lara in a rematch first, prior to taking him on. Additionally, he asserted that Warrington’s style is worth the watch and the British boxer can perfectly align with him.

Warrington is not lined up against any fighter. However, he isn’t letting his trash talk game take a back seat by any means.

With his vast in-ring abilities and momentum, Josh Warrington can certainly bounce back from adversity. He still has a vast career lying ahead of him, and the Yorkshire native is himself hungry to prove his mettle to one and all again.

That said, Warrington will now look forward to touching gloves with some rugged competitors who can provide him with a tough in-ring test. If he keeps adding constant wins to his resume, ‘The Leeds Warrior’ will return to the peak of the 126-pound division again.
