Trevor Lawrence, Baker Mayfield and Other 1st Overall Picks to Land Bumper Endorsements

The 2021 NFL Draft is scheduled to be held between April 29 – May 1, 2021. There are multiple top prospects up for grabs this summer. But one player who is in a league of his own is Clemson Tigers quarterback Trevor Lawrence. The silk-haired youngster is expected to emerge as the 1st overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Urban Meyer-coached Jacksonville Jaguars will secure a major coup by bringing in someone like Lawrence this summer. From a sporting point of view, Trevor is arguably the most talented QB in the class of 2021. But what he brings from a commercial standpoint might turn the Jaguars into a global phenomenon.

Trevor Lawrence signs massive endorsement deal with Gatorade

Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence announced his first professional endorsement deal on Friday. The 21-year old youngster was signed by sports energy drink manufacturers, Gatorade, to a long-term contract.

He is regarded as one of the most marketable athletes in the 2021 NFL Draft class. He is the first quarterback since Cam Newton to sign with Gatorade since 2011. He will join the likes of Zion Williamson, Jayson Tatum, and Mallory Pugh, as exclusive Gatorade ambassadors.

“We want to work with athletes who are leaders among their peers, committed to performance and authentic users of our products. Trevor is all of those things, and with his help we hope to inspire and fuel the next generation of athletes,” said Jeff Kearney, Gatorade global head of sports marketing via CNBC Sports.
