Who Is Stefanos Tsitsipas’ Girlfriend Theodora Petalas? How Did the Two Meet?
Greek tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas has grown swiftly on the men’s Tour. The 22-year-old youngster has beaten the likes of Federer and Nadal on stages as big as Grand Slam events. He is certainly on the right path, and it’s just a matter of time before he is crowned a Grand Slam champion.
Recently, Stefanos Tsitsipas spoke about his personal life with emphasis on the woman in his life. He even divulged details on when he met his girlfriend, Theodora Petalas. Interestingly, the pair met in New York, but the Greek athlete was too shy to ask her out back then.
Tsitsipas said, “We have known each other for three years, through family friends. We first met in New York and I liked her very much, but I was shy then and did not express my feelings. But two years ago, again in New York, I asked her out on a date. I asked her to go to Brooklyn to snap some photos and I think she liked that. I did take some photos, which to this day are my favorites!”

When the two met again two years ago, Tsitsipas finally asked Petalas out. Interestingly, on their first date, they went around Brooklyn and clicked photos, and to date, he considers them as his favorite. Petalas has supported him during thick and thin. She has brought a balance to his life, and the Greek tennis star insists he has a deep affection for her.
Revealing more details, Tsitsipas added, “She is someone who has supported me a lot, she’s brought me great balance and I have a lot of feelings for her. I think she feels the same! Our relationship is something very special. The fact that we understand each other and have things in common, personality-wise, helps a lot.”

On the tennis front, the Greek athlete began his season in Melbourne and had a great run until the semifinal. Since then, he played a few tournaments but failed to go the distance. Last week, he won his first ATP Masters 1ooo title in Monte Carlo and that will give him a much-needed boost as the French Open draws closer.
