Ed Sheeran plotting return to music as he films new video in London
Ed Sheeran is gearing up for his return to music, and we’re absolutely not ready for it.
The Thinking Out Loud singer, 30, announced he would be taking a break from the spotlight in December, 2019, following his record-breaking Divide tour.
But it seems he’s ready to grace our ears once again, as he was seen filming a new music video in London, dressed as a vampire.
As you do.
Pictures obtained by the Sun showed the new dad rocking a pink suit and Dracula-style fangs while in front of the cameras in Catford.
He was surrounded by others in similar costumes for the scenes, before shedding the outfit for a bomber jacket and jeans as he played a guitar on a rooftop.
Locals were left shocked by Ed’s appearance, with one telling the publication it was very unexpected.
‘It was obvious something big was happening, there were camera crews and security cordons set-up,’ they said.
‘He’s so recognisable straight away, and at that point he was just in his normal gear with his guitar so word got around fairly fast that Ed was filming – but he was cool about it, he was waving to some kids and laughing about it all, it was pretty surreal.’
Speaking about the shoot, another explained that word spread, with a lot of fans turning up – bur Ed took this in his stride, posing for pictures before getting back to business.
‘He’s obviously planning for a big comeback. At times you could hear music playing which sounded great, but it wasn’t something I’d heard before,’ they added.
The star has kept a very low profile since disappearing from the spotlight in 2019 – and welcomed his first child Lyra with wife Cherry Seaborn in that time.
He made a rare appearance to honour music legend and close pal Michael Gudinski last month, performing a new song alongside two classics at his memorial.
