Fortnite Champions Series 2021 Will Feature Record Low Participation Numbers
Epic Games recently unveiled the Fortnite Champions series 2021. The blog post also features important information regarding the dates, scoring, and format.
The Fortnite Champions Series has existed since the inception of Fortnite as an eSport. While it may not receive as much attention as the Fortnite World Cup, it allows players to earn some recognition and prize money. The tournament has also been held in a variety of game modes, including solo, duos, and trios.
Usually, the tournament features some of the biggest names in the game and is a must-see event for the fans. However, this year participation in the event seems to be at a record low.
Fortnite analyst ‘Somebodysgun’ uploaded a graphic to Twitter, which truly showcased the decrease in participation. The graphic indicates that participation numbers have dropped by more than 50% in every region.

How to take part in the Fortnite Champions Series
In order to be eligible to take part in the Champions Series 2021, players will have to be placed in the Champion Division in Arena. This applies individually to every member of the team. As a result, qualifying for the tournament becomes a lengthy process.
The tournament will feature four stages, namely qualifiers, semi-finals, reboot round, and finals. Week one of the qualifiers begins from April 23-25 and the finals will culminate by the end of the month. Furthermore, this season, Epic has kept a prize pool of $3 million across the eight participating regions.

Many players believe that the lack of participation in the upcoming FNCS indicates that Fortnite is dying. However, the game’s impressive viewership numbers across all platforms say otherwise. Furthermore, Epic Games just released hints confirming a collaboration with footballing star Neymar Jr.
By the looks of it, the Brazilian winger will be getting a skin dedicated to him. This collaboration will surely be extremely lucrative and beneficial for both parties.
