There’s no denying that Elton John’s annual Oscars party is the place to be, with some of the biggest A-listers among the enviable guest-list every year.

The 93rd Academy Awards will be taking place on Sunday, at LA’s Union Station, with a limited audience in place and international hubs for those unable to travel.

However, this year will be a little different as the music icon’s bash – a fundraiser for his AIDS Foundation – taking place online due to coronavirus restrictions.

This means we’re all invited to join in the celebrations, and virtually rub shoulders with Hollywood stars.

Elton and husband David Furnish will be throwing a virtual party, which is being held just before the Awards star.

As well as this, Neil Patrick Harris will be hosting the proceedings, with Dua Lipa getting things going with a stripped back performance, and David Walliams, Olly Alexander and Elizabeth Hurley among those attending.

Which definitely puts our last Zoom quiz to shame….

A message from Elton on the party reads: ‘It will have the same electric energy as our famous live parties and this year our very special guest performer, Dua Lipa will bring her three-time Grammy winning style and music to our virtual dancefloor after just winning Best Pop Vocal Album for Future Nostalgia.

‘And look out for some incredible never to be seen again moments with Dua Lipa and Elton John.

‘We also welcome on-screen appearances from top actors, musicians, entertainers, and philanthropic figures – all helping to bring an end to the AIDS epidemic.’

Could you ever imagine nabbing an invite to Elton’s Oscar’s party and not even needing to change out of your PJs?

It will raise ‘critical funds for young people at risk and living with HIV around the world’, with tickets for the swanky do available from Ticketmaster, for £14.99.

The event will run for an hour from midnight UK time, with the awards starting at 1am.

If you feel like an early night, there are also passes for a digital screening on Monday, at 7pm.
