However, Mayweather assured fans of accepting the fight on June 5 at a Showtime PPV, citing the USA to host the event. Meanwhile, the dramatic build-up has seen some added drama, as the Showtime Kingpin denied hosting it on the scheduled date.
“It’s definitely not June 5th. It never has been. There are a few dates being…that we are sort of circling and a few venues…,” said Stephen Espinoza (H/T- Jed I. Goodman)
