UFC welterweight Jorge Masvidal has seen an incredible rise to fame. He was coasting among the has-beens in the lightweight division and was nothing more than a journeyman. However, he turned it all around and is now one of the most popular fighters in the entire world.

The American fighter has put in his time in the UFC and has fought 49 times. Ahead of his 50th fight, he’ll be looking to improve his record of 35-14. Masvidal has won five bonuses from the UFC, which includes four performance of the night bonuses. These bonuses alone earned him fifty thousand dollars per fight.

He also took home a hefty five hundred thousand dollars each for his fights against Nate Diaz and Kamaru Usman. However, he completely deserves it as his win over Nate Diaz for the BMF belt sold out the Madison Square Garden. His stock has only been on the rise since then, and he is slated to earn the same amount at the very least at UFC 261.

‘The Gamebred’ is challenging the welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman. They fought at UFC 251 for the first time, but Masvidal couldn’t overcome Usman’s wrestling and lost the fight via unanimous decision. Nevertheless, both the fighters pocketed a hefty five hundred thousand dollars from the fight and added to their bank.

Usman is a very dominant champion and is on a 17 fight winning streak. He hasn’t lost a fight in the UFC and has never been taken down in the octagon. Masvidal needs to figure out how to keep the fight on the feet and finish the Nigerian champion.
