Meghan Trainor has shared a new video of her baby boy Riley, saying he got off to a ‘rocky start’ but is now ‘happy and healthy’.

The singer, 27, became a mother for the first time in February with husband Daryl Sabara.

And the All About That Bass hitmaker has documented his early days in a video she posted online for her fans to see.

In the clip, set to If You Love Her, a song featuring Meghan by Forest Blakk, Riley can be seen in his hospital bed as the star looks on during a FaceTime call.

Meghan can also be seen with tears in her eyes as Daryl holds his son up in his hospital room while she is again on video call.

Towards the end of the video, Meghan can be seen holding Riley in her arms as she looks happy and content.

Posting the clip online, Meghan wrote: ‘We had a rocky start but Riley is perfect, happy and healthy. So lucky to be your mama, sweet boy.’

Former Voice UK coach Meghan welcomed her first child to the world with husband Daryl on February 8 this year.

Riley had been due on February 14, with Meghan choosing to confirm his arrival on Valentine’s Day – his due date – nearly a week after he was born.

‘This sweet baby boy’s due date was today on Valentine’s Day💝 We got to meet him Monday, Feb 8th! We are SO IN LOVE🥰😭 Thank you @darylsabara for the best Valentine’s gift ever! Welcome to the world Riley,’ she posted alongside a series of photos of herself and husband Daryl with Riley in hospital at the time.

Meghan confirmed her pregnancy in October last year, after previously joking that her ‘ovaries were screaming’ for her to be a mum.

Throughout her pregnancy, Meghan kept fans updated and revealed that her baby boy was breech at 36-weeks, so she had been spending her days lying upside down on her couch.

When a baby is breech it means it is positioned with its bottom or feet first in the womb.

While most babies will naturally turn so that their head is facing downwards by 36-weeks, that doesn’t always happen, with Meghan explaining that her boy had moved back to breech all over again.

Meghan and Daryl have been married since 2018 and tied the knot on her birthday in December that year in the garden of their LA home.
