Rita Ora and Taika Waititi spark dating rumours with very cosy photo as fans convinced she’ll make surprise Thor cameo

Rita Ora has sparked fresh romance rumours with Taika Waititi, as she shared a cosy snap of the Marvel director.

It was revealed that the For You singer split from boyfriend Romain Gavras earlier this year, after six months together.

But fans are convinced the 30-year-old has moved on, thanks to her recent Instagram photo dump.

Nestled in between snapshots of her nails and fabulous lift selfies was a photo as she posed alongside Taika, who had his arms wrapped around her but was looking away from the lens.

Rita pouted for the camera in a yellow beret, while they appeared to rock similar colourful outfits.

‘Good times, memories, random things on my phone and the ones I love.. #midweekupdate,’ she captioned the upload.

Shortly after the post went live, fans flocked to Twitter to speculate on whether this meant the pair are together – which was fuelled ever further by someone on the Who? Weekly podcast claiming to have seen them kissing in a restaurant.

‘How on earth did Taika Waititi and Rita Ora meet,’ one penned. ‘I am trying to imagine their life as a couple and drawing a blank.’

‘TAIKA AND RITA ORA DATING???? WHAT IS GOING ON,’ another screamed.

While many others questioned whether the upload meant Rita would be making an appearance in the upcoming Thor flick, which Taika is currently directing.

‘Okay but when are they going to announce Rita Ora’s casting in Thor 4 though?? Especially if she and Taika are…,’ a Twitter user said.

‘OMG what is Rita gonna be in a Marvel movie aka the next Thor movie??? [sic],’ a follower asked.

‘So if @RitaOra is going to be in the next Thor movie (which rumours seem to point to) can we call her Rita Thora now?,’ a fan suggested.

Elsewhere in the uploads, Rita posed alongside Tessa Thompson, and was reportedly seen out with Thor himself, aka Chris Hemsworth and his wife Elsa Pataky.

We would seriously be down for a Rita cameo in the upcoming flick.

The snaps come just months after the I Will Never Let You Down musician split from director Romain.

It was claimed they called things off due to ‘distance between them’, as she jetted to Australia form work commitments on The Voice.

An insider told the Sun at the time: ‘Sadly, with the lockdown restrictions, this is all just about them being apart from each other for so long, and now Rita’s work­ in Australia would have kept them apart.’
