Line of Duty fans have been speculating after the shocking cliffhanger in last weekend’s episode – and viewers believe that it was Ryan Pilkington (Gregory Piper) who was shot in the gripping standoff.
Last Sunday, Kate Fleming (Vicky McClure) and corrupt copper Ryan pointing their guns at each other in a tense episode finale, while corrupt DCI Joanne Davidson (Kelly Macdonald) looked on.
Two shots were fired, although the outcome of the standoff is set to remain a secret until tonight’s instalment.
It’s all we’ve been able to focus on this week as we wait for the new episode, and fans have been voting in our poll about the possible outcomes.
Judging by our findings, more than half of fans believe that Ryan was the one who got shot.
A considerable 57% of people think Ryan came off worst in the shooting. Elsewhere, 19% believe Jo was shot, while 10% think Kate was the victim of the shooting.
A total of 14% also believe that no-one got shot in the standoff.
Will they be proven correct? Fans will have to wait until tonight to see the outcome, but there are some clues out there already which could tell us something.
Newly-released first look photos of episode six reveal a shaken Steve Arnott (Martin Compston) arriving at the scene.
The previous episode set pulses racing across the UK when Kate unwittingly met up with Joanne Davidson (Kelly Macdonald), unaware that it was a set-up organised by the OCG to kill her.
AC-12 raced to her location as Ryan confronted her, with her fate hanging in the balance.
The truth will surely be revealed later this evening and Mother of God we can’t wait.
Line of Duty continues on Sunday at 9pm on BBC One.
