McFly star Harry Judd and wife Izzy announce they’re expecting third child together
Harry Judd and his wife Izzy are expecting their third child together.
The McFly drummer, 35, and his violinist partner, 37, are looking forward to welcoming a new addition to their family.
The couple are already parents to daughter Lola, five, and son Kit, three.
Harry and Izzy have chosen not to find out the sex of their baby and think it will be a nice surprise for the newborn’s older siblings not to know.
On learning she was pregnant during the coronavirus pandemic, Izzy told Hello! magazine: ‘When we found out, I did feel panic. We have all been living in fear of this virus and we’ve been so careful for over a year, so it is a shock when numbers are low and I’m pregnant.’
And Harry is likely to be emotional on the day of the birth as he was moved to tears in the past when his children were born.
He said: ‘When Lola was born, I was a blubbering mess and with Kit, I cried too. They are the most emotional moments of my life for sure.’
The couple suffered heartache when Izzy miscarried in 2014 after their first round of IVF.
Their second attempt led to Izzy falling pregnant with Lola and they later conceived naturally with Kit.
Harry and Izzy had a scare earlier this year when Kit suffered a rare reaction to his pre-school booster vaccine.
Sharing a photo of herself on Instagram with a face mask on as she sat with Kit in the hospital, Izzy wrote online: ‘Went to A&E tonight as Kit has had a reaction to his pre school boosters.
‘Poor Kit has always been sensitive to his vaccines BUT thank goodness for vaccines!! Being in a hospital sent my anxiety flying, just can’t bear to think of the scenes behind the wall of the children’s department (which was empty).
‘Usually at this time of year we’re facing the back to back colds and bugs with the kids, it felt really weird giving Kit medicine today after so long.
‘Thank you as ever to @nhsengland and the kind doctor who took care of us tonight. We are so lucky. Oh the worry when the little ones are poorly….’
The four-in-one pre-school booster is usually given to children at three years and four months old and offers vital protection against diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough and polio.
Thankfully, reactions to the booster vaccine are rare, with the NHS confirming: ‘The 4-in-1 pre-school booster has been thoroughly tested to ensure it’s safe and effective.’
