Selling Sunset’s Mary Fitzgerald open to being friends with Christine Quinn again if she ‘treats people fairly’
Selling Sunset star Mary Fitzgerland revealed that there’s a chance she’ll rekindle her friendship with Christine Quinn despite them not talking much any more.
Netflix series Selling Sunset follows the real estate team at the swanky Oppenheim group, as they sell luxury property to the richest people in LA.
We last saw the gang when season three – which was filmed in 2019 – dropped on Netflix last summer, with tensions flaring between Mary, Davina Potratz and Chrishell Stause.
Even though filming for the fourth season hasn’t started yet, we know it’s going to be action-packed.
Heather Rae Young is getting married, Christine Quinn is pregnant, Amanza Smith is trying to find the father of her kids and Chrishell will be dealing with the fall out of her marriage ending.
Plus, Mary and her husband Romain Bonnet will be freezing Mary’s embryos in case they want to have a kid in the future.
Past episodes have shown the tension between former friends Mary and Christine but speaking to Notebook magazine, Mary revealed she’s willing to repair the friendship.
When asked how things were between the two of them, Mary said: ‘I thought they were good but we don’t talk much.
‘I’m always willing to be friends with her again if she’s able to treat people fairly and kindly. I found out through the press that she’s pregnant. I’m really happy for her.’
With all of this being said, Mary still hasn’t spoken to Christine after the drama surrounding Christine’s baby.
Things became awkward between the two when the mum-to-be called her Netflix co-stars out for not ‘liking’ her pregnancy announcement.
In a video shared on TikTok, Christine could be seen searching for Mary, Heather and Chrishell in the ‘likes’ of her baby post on Instagram – with Chris Brown’s Loyal in the background as she failed to find them.
Spilling the beans on their fractured bond to Metro.co.uk, Mary revealed she ‘had no idea’ about the video until she was asked about it in another interview – and doesn’t ‘care to’ speak to her colleague anymore.
When asked if she had reached out to Christine since the footage in question, she told us: ‘No, and I don’t care to now.
‘I thought we were fine, I keep making effort and I’m just not going to get into it. When there’s good things to say, I’ll continue to reach out but I’m not going to call her and get into it with her.
‘I’m sure there’s going to be plenty of that when we start filming. I’m going to try to have some peace for the time being.’
The reality star also insisted that she reached out to the expectant mum privately over her baby news, and they had a sweet conversation about Christine’s upcoming arrival.
‘I sent her voice memo congratulating her,’ Mary continued. ‘She texted me back like, “Oh my God, thank you so much, that’s so sweet. I can’t wait. I’m so excited. I can’t wait to tell you about it”.
‘I have like this whole text chain and a long message I left her about how happy I am for her. Then she does that…’
‘I don’t need to go on my friend’s Instagram to know what’s going on in their life. That’s my view but I’m kind of old school,’ she vowed.
Selling Sunset is available to stream on Netflix now.
