“‘Thug’ Rose Namajunas Had Me in Tears”- Joe Rogan Heaps Praise on Rose Namajunas

UFC 261 is the most successful event of the year for the company. The gate was $3.3 million and broke the arena record with 15,269 people in attendance at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena. The event featured 3 title fights where only one new champion got crowned. Rose Namajunas defeated Zhang Weili in the co-main event of the evening. She caught her opponent off the left high kick from the front leg.

Weili collapsed at the spot and got finished by a couple of hammer fists. This became one of the most memorable moments in UFC history. Rose Namajunas won her first UFC title back in 2017 but lost it to Jessica Andrade in her second defense.

Now, after beating the Chinese champion, she has officially regained her throne. Joe Rogan couldn’t forget what he witnesses and shared his thoughts on Twitter. Rogan wrote, “Thug @rosenamajunas had me in tears last night! Such a special moment for a great fighter and an incredible human.”

Rose Namajunas got emotional after her win at UFC 261

Namajunas was left in tears of joy while she was being interviewed by Joe Rogan. Rogan said, “Thug Rose, you shook up the world again. Rose, there are some special moments in MMA and I feel like I just witnessed a real one you got me crying up here.”

Rogan had tears in his eyes while he interviewed the champion in his impaired voice. Rogan is one of the biggest fans of the current Strawweight champion and adores her every time they see each other.

Rose Namajunas is one of the most popular and loved women fighters in the UFC. Her innocent looks with her charming personality have attracted a lot of attention. Plus, she is one of the most talented and skilled martial artists in the division. Namajunas is a deadly combination of everything an MMA fan could dream of.

Although ‘Thug’ Rose is a popular figure, she doesn’t enjoy the stardom which comes along with the UFC. She remains low-key and doesn’t believe in trash-talking, unlike other fellow fighters. Her simplicity on and off the camera has won her a lot of loyal fans.

Now Rose is the new Strawweight champion, which will again put her in the limelight. This time Namajunas will try to hold the title for a long run and hopefully will go down as one of the greatest Strawweight of all times.
