Colby Covington Says ‘He’s Going to Make America Great Again’ by Taking ‘Marty Fake Newman’ Out
Colby Covington is all set to challenge for the UFC welterweight title soon. The No.1 ranked welterweight fighter will return to the ring for the first time since last September. His last fight ended in a TKO victory against Tyron Woodley at UFC Fight Night: Covington vs Woodley.
Now, as a fight between Covington and Usman has almost been finalized, ‘Chaos’ talked about how this fight means a lot to him. The former interim UFC welterweight champion talked about how he wants to win this fight for America.
“Oh, you know I’m a money fighter, I’m a prizefighter, but I’m the number 1 fighter in the world. I wanna fight the biggest fight, this is the only fight there is to make.”
Covington continued by talking about how many people want to see this fight happen.
“There are so many people that wanna see this fight. I mean, you got one of the most powerful people in the world that wants to see this fight you know in Donald Trump. You got my good friend Candace Owens. My good friend Lil Wayne, you know my good friend Eddie Gallagher, a war hero.”
Colby Covington wants to make the UFC great again
Every fighter who competes in any sport wants to win the championship of that sport. ‘Chaos’ is no different as he plans to give his everything to win the UFC title. However, Covington says there is another important reason he wants to win the title for.
“You know there are so many people all the troops, I’m doing this for the troops, for the first responders for America. America wants a champion again, they want a UFC champion and I’m the guy to do it and they know so they wanna send me into the battlefield and this needs to be done.”
“I’m going to make America great again, I’m gonna make the UFC great again by taking ‘Marty Fake Newsman’ out.”
Whether Covington is fighting to make America great again or not, we cannot say. Although one thing is for sure- when ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ and ‘Chaos’ get inside the Octagon, the fight is going to be a treat for the fans to watch.
