Demi Sims has revealed the true extent of her heartbreak on Sunday’s episode of The Only Way Is Essex after her relationship with Francesco Farago ended.

Breaking down, she spoke about the break up with her sisters Chloe and Frankie.

The 25-year-old reality star divulged that the relationship she had with Francesca, 27, was actually very different to what they showed the public.

‘Me and Francesca broke up. I feel literally heartbroken but it was for the best. It was the best for both of us,’ she said through tears.

‘We just weren’t getting on behind closed doors. The relationship we were having in front of everyone else was a different relationship from what we were having when no one was there.’

Revealing another reason they ended the romance, Demi said: ‘The spark was gone. There was no conversation, it was like getting blood out of a stone.’

‘I just feel so unhappy. I would’ve given her the world if she wanted it but, I don’t know, it just didn’t work. It just really hurt me.’

Her sisters were quick to comfort her, reassuring Demi that they would support her in any way she needed.

‘I’m not going to lie to you, this is going to be so hard but you’ve got us. We’re going to get through it, it’s fine,’ Frankie sad.

Chloe became emotional as she reminded Demi that Frankie got through her breakup with Harry Lee and she would do the same.

She said: ‘You’ve been upset in the past about other relationships. Yous two girls are so strong. She did it and you’re gonna do the same.’

Demi explained: ‘I feel like every time I break up with someone, there’s no fight for me, it’s starting to wear me down.’

Francesca took to Instagram just hours before the scene aired and said she was ‘pretending everything’s fine’ in a not-so cryptic Instagram post.

Towie fans took to Twitter after the emotional scene to express their support for Demi.

‘Some day you will meet someone who will give you the world if you want it and not the other way around,’ one person tweeted.

‘I actually feel a little bad for Demi because she’s a hopeless romantic and just wants love. We all deserve that tbh,’ another penned.

Fans of the show also agreed that Demi ‘needs a break from relationships’.

Demi and Francesca had confirmed they were dating with a series of loved-up posts on Instagram in January.

The Only Way Is Essex airs on ITVBe.
