The brains behind Love Island have confirmed the show will return in 2021 after the summer series was cancelled last year because of the coronavirus pandemic.

With a summer of love back on the cards for 2021, the producers are now looking to cast ‘vibrant singles from across the UK’ who want to appear in the seventh series of the hit reality TV show.

Love Island is set to head back to Spain this summer, with those cast in series 7 moving into a luxury villa for ‘a summer of love’.

Sound like something you could handle? Here’s how to apply for Love Island 2021:

How to apply for Love Island 2021

You can apply for the next series of Love Island on ITV 2’s digital casting platform.

Applications for the show are open now and will remain open until the broadcaster announce a closing date.

To apply for Love Island 2021 you must be aged 18 or over, you must hold a passport which is valid until at least February 2022 and you need to be available for a minimum of ten consecutive weeks over the summer in order to participate in filming.

It is understood extra cast may be flown out to Spain in May to quarantine along with the main cast as a precaution – just in case any cast members have to drop out to quarantine for longer at the last minute.

According to The Sun, potential cast members will have to undergo psychological and physical assessment as well as a sexual health screening in order to make the final cut for the show.

Can you apply for Love Island 2021 through Tinder?

For the first time ever, yes, you can apply to be on Love Island through Tinder.

Since March 22, singletons on Tinder can apply to be on the show by making just one Swipe Right in the app, with their Tinder profile becoming their first audition.

If selected, hopeful cast members will be added to a ‘Priority List’ and guaranteed to be seen by the casting team, getting one stage closer to heading to the villa.

Swipe Cards will appear in between Tinder members’ stack of potential matches – so all they need to do is Swipe Right on the Swipe Card and their official Tinder profile will be submitted to the Tinder team for review and verification.
