Who is Scorpions’ daughter?
Until now, Mortal Kombat fans were unaware that Hanzo/Scorpion even had a daughter.
But in the opening scene of the new movie we are taken back centuries to the Shirai Ryu massacre.
Hanzo and his wife Harumi are killed by Bi-Han – an assassin of the Lin Keui Clan – with an icicle that froze their bodies.
But before Bi-Han can murder them, we see a terrified Harumi hiding their baby daughter in the floorboards of the house, out of sight.

Although the sequence ends there, Hanzo’s surviving daughter is crucial to the new movie.
The main action of Mortal Kombat 2021 takes place generations later, but the main protagonist Cole Young, is a descendent of Scorpion through his daughter.
As previously mentioned, Bi-Han killed Hanzo, but he was resurrected as Scorpion Quan Chi, with additional superpowers.
Towards the end of the 2021 movie, Hanzo is released from the Netherrealm as vengeful Scorpion.
In the movie’s final moments, he helps his decedent Cole overpower Sub-Zero.
Who is Scorpions’ son Satoshi Hasashi?
Hanzo’s son is named Satoshi Hasashi – and also known by the nickname Jubei.
Satoshi is with his parents at the Shirai Ryu massacre, and despite diving in front of Harumi to stop her being killed by Bi-Han, he is ultimately killed along with his parents.
In Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge, Satoshi was killed in front of his father before Hanzo was subsequently murdered.
Although Satoshi is a minor character, his death prompts his father to seek revenge at any cost, and that’s why we see Hanzo resurrect as Scorpion.

What is Mortal Kombat about?
The action-packed movie features MMA fighter Cole Young who seeks out Earth’s greatest champions in order to “stand against the enemies of Outworld in a high stakes battle for the universe.”
The official synopsis continues: “Fearing for his family’s safety, Cole goes in search of Sonya Blade at the direction of Jax, a Special Forces Major who bears the same strange dragon marking Cole was born with,” reads the official synopsis.
