BJ Flores Uninterested in Jake Paul vs Daniel Cormier: ‘I Am Really Not Choosing That Fight for Jake’

YouTuber Jake Paul and UFC two-division champion Daniel Cormier recently had a heated skirmish at the UFC 261 in Florida, which resulted in a near- physical altercation. Although they were separated, it planted the seeds of another crossover matchup.

But Cormier vs Paul is not on the cards, as Jake Paul’s coach BJ Flores ridiculed the idea of matching them up. Flores gave his utmost respect to ‘DC’ but revealed why it would be bizarre to put Jake Paul inside the ring with Daniel Cormier. The 42-year-old connected with The Schmo and addressed the issue with his opinion.

“The Daniel Cormier is tough, I mean he is a little big. He is a little too big, to be honest with you. Obviously, he is a great wrestler, a great champion, but I am really not choosing that fight for Jake,” said Flores.

Before UFC 261, Cormier and Paul also had social media banter, and neither side hesitated to pull off the scratchy words. However, it turned vile when they came face to face at the Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena in Florida. Daniel Cormier was the official commentator for the UFC 261, headlined by Kamaru Usman vs Jorge Masvidal. Meanwhile, ‘The Problem Child’ was in attendance.

While the duo appeared close, they got involved in an argument, and Cormier looked extremely vexed with Jake Paul. The situation became intense, and the officials jumped in to separate them.

Jake Paul and his aim at the UFC fighters

After claiming himself as a professional boxer, Jake Paul has taken constant shots at the UFC elites. He primarily targeted Conor McGregor for a lucrative showdown. However, on being ignored, he shifted his aim towards other stars.

Ultimately, Ben Askren agreed to box him and Jake Paul bagged an easy first-round KO over the former UFC star. He is now 3-0 as a boxer and seems to look for the bigger names in his upcoming journey. As of now, Paul has recently vowed to stop Nate Diaz inside the ring and can work to seal the deal with the Stockton native. But Diaz will return to UFC 262 against Leon Edwards, so he hasn’t shown any interest in Paul.

Do you think Jake Paul will fight the UFC fighters ahead?
