Charlotte Flair Makes a Shocking Return to WWE Raw Following Suspension

Charlotte Flair went berserk last week on Raw and unloaded on a WWE official after a decision did not go her away in the match against Asuka. ‘The Queen’ refused to let up and continued the beatdown on the official long after other officials tried to stop her.

This relentless assault on a WWE official was met with harsh rebuke from the company, which has a strict policy against attacking its referees. For this reason, Adam Pearce announced later on Raw Talk that Flair was suspended on his decision and fined $100,000.

Fans expected this to be a storyline exit for Flair for another month or so but that didn’t seem to be the case as the former Raw Women’s Champion made an immediate return on the latest episode of Raw alongside newly instated WWE backstage official Sonya Deville.

Deville used her authority to rescind the suspension imposed on Charlotte after a half-hearted and shallow apology to the official she assaulted, whose name was revealed as Eddie Orengo. Flair did go in the ring at the center of the ThunderDome and apologized to Orengo.

However, this apology was just a way to get to where she wanted, and having paid the fine as well as apologizing to the referee, she was allowed to resume her work on Monday Night Raw, courtesy of Sonya Deville.

Charlotte Flair made the official apologize to her

After Deville announced the decision, Charlotte spitefully made Orengo apologize to her for missing out on a crucial detail in the match that ended up costing her the victory. Orengo apologized, much to her wicked happiness, and she proceeded to head backstage.

There, Adam Pearce confined Deville and her, after which fans realized that he could not re-suspend Charlotte. Thanks to Sonya Deville, ‘The Queen’ can resume her goal on Raw, which is the red belt on Rhea Ripley’s shoulder.

Speaking of Ripley, the Raw Women’s Champion was the sole cause of Charlotte’s loss last week which started the entire scene in the first place. During her match with Asuka, Charlotte Flair had her opponent locked in the Figure 8 and Asuka was on the verge of tapping when Rhea Ripley broke the hold.

The official, Eddie Orengo, did not see this and hence, did not ring the bell on grounds of interference. Asuka later won via roll-up pin, infuriating Charlotte.

We can only wait and see how Flair’s malicious plans unravel, and whether Rhea Ripley made the right choice going after her former nemesis again.
