BBC Three’s Glow Up said goodbye to make-up artist Elliott as the hunt for Britain’s Next Make-Up Star continued tonight.

Elliott became the second contestant to be eliminated from series 3 after he found himself in the dreaded Face Off against Samah, who managed to survive the challenge and impress judges Val Garland and Dominic Skinner for the second week in a row.

The duo were tasked with creating a jeweled lip on a set of identical twins, with the Val and Dominic requesting ‘precision, balance and symmetry’.

However, Elliott fell short of all three requirements.

‘This competition is really tough,’ Val said, after his exit. ‘The talent gets better and better so the stakes get higher and higher. It’s tough to get to the top.’

Glad to have survived another week, Samah told the camera: ‘I never want to do that again, but you know what, I said that last week and look where I am today.

‘Me staying here will better my artistry and what I produce, so I take on board what they said.’

The second episode of Glow Up series three saw the nine contestants asked to create a look to be used on the acclaimed TV series Pose.

All competitors were given costumes to draw inspiration from and the group were split into two groups for the assignment, with one half taking on a theme of old Hollywood black and white photo, and the other doing ‘bizarre’.

Craig, 24, was the winner of the challenge, with his look set to appear in Pose’s third and final season.

Glow Up airs Tuesdays at 7pm on BBC iPlayer.
