Love Island’s Jessica Hayes marks stillborn son Teddy’s due date with sweet beach tribute
Jessica Hayes has shared a sweet tribute to her stillborn son Teddy on what would have been his due date, marking his name out in sand on a beach.
The former Love Island star, 27, shared a photo of her and her son Presley, 19 months, standing next to Teddy’s name and a heart drawn in the sand.
She wrote: ‘Happy due date Teddy darling. What i would do to be having those newborn cuddles. Always loved, never forgotten.’
Jessica also added a video montage of their day at the beach, telling her followers: ‘Remembering our little teddy at the beach today. Happy due date darling boy.’
She and fiancé Dan Lawry had had a miscarriage at 19 weeks pregnant last year, revealing the news in December.
Jessica had shared a photo of Teddy’s foot and hand prints, a teddy and his hospital nametag as she wrote: ‘To Our little teddy. I’m so sorry I couldn’t keep you safe for a little while longer. I’m sorry I couldn’t take you home.
‘I’m sorry we had to say goodbye this way it wasn’t supposed to be like this. You were strong but my body wasn’t.
‘The pain is unbearable and I feel like I’m drowning in grief. My mind spinning thinking of all the what ifs and questions of who you would have grown up to be.’
She added: ‘I could see Presley in you, you were so beautiful, perfectly formed. You would never get to play together and be best friends in this world and that hurts so much he would of loved you his little brother so much .
‘I’m grateful that we shared those weeks together and I carried you for as long as I could before it was your time to gain your wings.
‘You will always be our beautiful son and I promise you will hold the biggest place in our hearts forever my sweet angel.’
Jessica also revealed that she ‘lost a lot of blood’ and her life was in danger as well as the baby’s during the stillbirth.
