Those who are still waiting for their third stimulus check to arrive should not panic as the IRS continues to send payments weekly.

Eligible individuals who are concerned their check has not arrived can track the payment through the IRS Get My Payment tool.

In order to check your payments status, all you have to do is enter your Social Security number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number, date of birth, street address and ZIP or postal code.

The platform should display a message about your payment status, whether your payment has been scheduled to send if your payment will be made via direct deposit, paper check or EIP card and the date your stimulus money was issued.

You might also get an error message saying for example it can’t determine your status yet.

That can just mean the IRS is still processing your payment.

If the IRS tool tells you that your payment has been issued but you still have not received it you might need to contact IRS and request a payment trace.

About 15 days after the agency has issued your third stimulus check, you should receive a letter confirming your payment, called Notice 1444.

If you have received the letter but still waiting for the payment you need to inform IRS and request a payment trace.

According to the IRS website, you should have a response within six weeks from the day you filed your claim.

1.1million payments have been sent out and the IRS released images of what people should be looking for as last year, some people mistook the mailed payments for junk mail and trashed them.

But not all mailed payments will come in the form of paper checks.

Some people will receive a paper check while others will get a prepaid debit card .

The sixth batch rolled out last week with two million payments worth around $3billion, according to a statement by the IRS.

That includes 900,000 payments totalling $1.5 billion sent in the form of direct deposits straight into bank accounts.

There are also Plus-up payments of $1.2 billion being sent to 700,000, who did not receive the entire amount they were eligible for when they were first issued with their third $1,400 stimulus check.

The March Stimulus Law gives the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and U.S. Treasury until December to send out all third stimulus checks, according to CNET.
