The secret Zara clothing symbols that indicate whether you need to size up or down revealed

AS much as we love ZARA, we have to admit that the sizing has always been a bit bonkers.

Well if you’ve ever struggled to fit into a pair of size 16 jeans but easily slipped on a size 10 skirt, then we’ve found just the shopping tip for you.

A Zara shopper has claimed there’s a ‘secret’ sizing clue on the brand’s swing tags[/caption]

Earlier this month, TikTok account Officially_Outfits claimed there’s a secret clothing symbol on Zara swing tags which indicate how the item fits.

In a video which has racked up over 460,000 views, the fashion fan pointed out how the tags have a shape around the hole in the top.

The shopper claims that a grey square means you should choose your normal size – but a triangle is a sign that it runs a little small.

Sharing clips of the two separate tags, they wrote: “The little box around the tag hole means true to size – get your normal size.

“The triangle around the tag hole means it comes up small so size up.”

Backing up the claims, TikTok user @cooookiemonster210 said a member of the Zara staff told her the “shopping hack” while she was paying for her items.

She said: “The lady working on the register said […] anything with a triangle on it means you need to size up as their clothes are fitted based off European sizes.”

When shopping online, Zara has a “find my size” function which recommends the best fit based on your weight and height.
