Eugenie Bouchard Responds to Fan Who Set a Condition to Try Out New Balance
That Eugenie Bouchard commands an enviable following on her social media handles, and this is an established fact not subject to conjecture. Even during a rough phase in her career when her ranking was on a free fall following a spate of underwhelming performances, the fans and followers stayed true to the Canadian star, unflinching in their support.
It’s largely down to her unwavering fan support and following that Brand Eugenie Bouchard stayed strong even in the midst of a career slump. And it’s her robust social media profile that helped her bag a lucrative deal with global retail apparel giant New Balance. While it is expected that with their favorite ‘Genie’ as the face of the brand, her followers, too, would swear by New Balance, a fan put out a condition for him to try out the apparel label.
A fan asked Eugenie Bouchard to acknowledge his existence for him to try out her apparel partner New Balance
Tagging the 27-year-old tennis star and the apparel major, the fan by the name of Cool! Mike Stricker tweeted that he had always been fascinated by Adidas but was willing to try out New Balance if Bouchard acknowledged his “existence”.

“I’ve been an Adidas guy forever but if @geniebouchard acknowledged my existence I’d give @newbalance a legit shot at it moving forwards,” the fan wrote.
To that, Bouchard replied with, “Ummmm hellloooooo (wave emoji)”.
The former World No. 5, who previously had a sponsorship deal with sportswear giant Nike, switched to a New Balance kit in the Dubai qualifiers for this year’s Australian Open.
Bouchard’s appearance in the final of WTA Guadalajara lifted her close to the Top-100 in singles
Bouchard failed to seal passage to the main draw of the year’s first Grand Slam after losing her third qualifying tie. However, her flagging, stop-start career has seen a resurgence of sorts ever since as she reached the final of the WTA hardcourt event in Guadalajara, Mexico, on the back of some impressive wins.
In sight of her second career Tour title, Bouchard fell in the championship clash to Spaniard Sara Sorribes Tormo. However, her run to the title round lifted her in the rankings and put her within reach of the Top-100 in singles. The Canadian is currently placed at 120 in singles.
