Many of us have been moved to tears by the personal stories and items featured on BBC’s The Repair Shop.

Presented by Jay Blades, The Repair Shop gives its customers the chance to have items close to them restored to their former glory.

With a team of experts specialising in different items and materials, it is unlikely any customer leaves without an immense feeling of gratitude.

But how can you go about getting your own family heirlooms featured on the show?

How do you apply to The Repair Shop?

If you have a treasured item that has seen better days, there are a few ways you can apply to feature on The Repair Shop.

You can apply to the show through an online application form on the Ricochet website, the production company behind the creation of the show.

They want to hear as much detail about yourself and your item as possible, in order to stand out among the vast number of applications they receive.

All applicants must be aged 18 or over.

Alternatively, you can send your application via email (repair@ricochet.co.uk) or by mailing a letter to The Repair Shop, Ricochet, Pacific House, 126 Dyke Road, Brighton, BN1 3TE.

The Repair Shop is filmed at the Weald and Downland Living Museum in Singleton, West Sussex.

It has been used as the show’s primary filming location since its launch back in 2017.

The museum’s Court Barn is where the show is housed, and it is not open to the general public while the show is being filmed.

You can visit the location when filming is not taking place – simply head over to the plan your visit section of the museum’s website to see their latest opening times.

New episodes of The Repair Show air Wednesday 8pm on BBC One. Catch up with previous episodes over on BBC iPlayer.
