Warning: spoilers ahead for episode three of Viewpoint.

ITV’s Viewpoint aired its third episode last night and eager viewers think they already know who the killer is.

Last night’s episode continued to befuddle viewers with brand new twists and turns, with the crime drama pointing fingers at new suspects in the case of Gemma Hillman’s (Amy Wren) disappearance.

After discovering that the first wife of Carl Tuckman (Dominic Allburn) vanished 12 years ago, DC Martin Young (Noel Clarke) drew the conclusion that Carl could also be involved in Gemma going missing.

For the past two episodes Carl and his wife Kate (Catherine Tyldesley) have been on the fringe of the investigation, but that is no longer the case. It became apparent in episode three that property developer Carl is not who he claims to be.

We soon find out his real name is Carl Boruk and he has a variety of ties to both Gemma (his neighbour) and his own wife, Anna Boruk, who went missing over a decade ago.

Taking to Twitter, fans of the programme have shared their theories and observations about the Tuckmans, with many saying they thought Carl was suspicious.

Even though the show is setting it up as if Carl is involved with her dissapearance, viewers think it’s more complicated than that.

‘Gemma and the man next door were having an affair, that’s why Greg’s suspicious of Gemma’s whereabouts,’ one viewer theorised.

‘Kate, the man’s wife, knows and doesn’t like Gemma but can’t tell anyone about it and Zoe knows all of this and knows what happened to Gemma and it’s in her pad.’

Another viewer said: ‘So Gemma had an affair with the neighbour’s husband and they were going to run away together, that’s why she has all the money in the bag and passport.

‘Also the neighbour’s wife knows, that’s why she’s trying to get pregnant to trap him.’

The theories didn’t end there, as people are still suspicious of Zoe and are sure she is somehow involved.

One viewer wrote: ‘I think Zoe has an obsession with her neighbours! Something just isn’t quite right AND she literally just spied on them having sex,’ one viewer wrote.

‘Zoe has something to do with Gemma going missing, I’m sure of it!’ Another said.

A different Twitter user came up with a very interesting theory: ‘#Viewpoint the body is surely hidden in Zoe’s neighbours flat, who spends 6 months a year in Cape Town.

‘That’s why Zoe did not tell Martin there was a back entrance and her daughter had to.’

I guess we will have to tune in to the final two episodes to find out if any of these theories are right.

Viewpoint returns tonight at 9pm on ITV.
