Weather Forecast for NASCAR Cup Series 2021 Kansas Race: Will Rain Affect the Race?

This weekend the NASCAR Cup Series paddock stops at the next destination at the Kansas Speedway. Brad Keselowski heads into this race on a high, after taking his first win of the season. Once again, there are wary eyes looking at the heavens as there are concerns about rain.

The bad news is that the weather forecast suggests that NASCAR can expect scattered thunderstorms on Sunday. Temperature-wise, the track will witness a max temperature of 81°F and a minimum of 62°F throughout a clear Saturday. Meanwhile, Sunday sees thunderstorms with temperatures ranging between 76°F and 61°F.

Right now, things are getting desperate for poor old Denny Hamlin. 10 races are done and dusted, and yet he cannot call himself a Cup Series winner in 2021. Last weekend at the Talladega Superspeedway, his consist Top 5 run got snapped. Truthfully speaking, it was through no fault of his own, but what’s done is done. The best he can do is move on and try again at Kansas.

What lies ahead for the NASCAR Cup Series drivers at Kansas?

For the sake of optimism, this season has been so unpredictable that Hamlin may have a chance. In the span of 10 races, NASCAR has produced 9 different winners. On the flip side of the argument, there is a possibility that someone else could gun for a win. In the Buschy McBusch Race 400, Hamlin and Keselowski have two wins each.

Obviously, the changeable weather conditions could play a role in the NASCAR Cup Series race. Until then, all we can do is guess who will be the winner. Will there be a ninth winner or will Martin Truex Jr grab a third win? On another note, will another driver bag a second Cup Series win? Will Chase Elliott grab a maiden win in 2021 and begin his title defense? There are so many questions and not many answers are coming to light.
