Stacey Dooley’s This Is My House has been such a hit with fans that BBC bosses have already reportedly confirmed that a second series is in the works.

The premise of the show sees four people walk into a home and declare it their own, while celebrity judges try to work out who the real owner is.

Throughout the one-hour show, the contestants each try their best to convince the judges that they are the real homeowner.

If the star-studded panel guess right, the winner bags a £1,000 prize – cue lots of lies and some catty jibes from the contestants.

According to the Daily Star, the broadcaster’s executives have confirmed that the show’s popularity has ensured more future episodes.

It is reportedly due to be officially commissioned in the next coming weeks.

An insider told the publication: ‘This Is My House has been getting a fantastic reaction.

‘People have been going crazy for it on social media, and the ratings have been strong for its slot.

‘The top brass at the BBC want to give it another whirl. They think if it returns for another series it could really catch on and become one of the most talked-about shows on TV. Everyone involved is thrilled it has been a success.’

Stacey has established herself as one of BBC producer’s favourites.

She has hosted a number of high-profile shows for the company since winning Strictly in 2018, such as Glow Up, an EastEnders spin-off, and a slew of documentaries.

Metro.co.uk has reached out to the BBC for comment.

The final episode of this series of This Is My House airs tonight at 9pm, on BBC One.
