Husband wants to repair our marriage but I am already in love with another man
DEAR DEIDRE: MY husband wants us to repair our marriage for the sake of our daughter but I’m now in love with another man.
I’m 35 and have been married to a guy of 38 for nine years.
He’s a wonderful father to our six-year-old daughter but we argued a lot and he said he wanted us to separate. That was 18 months ago.
He moved out and now sees our daughter every other weekend. We have talked about getting a divorce.
I was heartbroken when we split and never stopped loving him.
But over the past year I have started to feel stronger and more confident.
Six months ago, I met another man through a friend.
He’s 40 and very different from my husband – louder and more sociable.
We really clicked and I have fallen deeply for him.
Our relationship is passionate and exciting.
Last week, my husband came round and said he wanted to talk. He told me he missed me and wanted to stop the divorce and give things another go.
He thinks it would be better for our daughter to have two parents together. I have no idea what to do. I love them both.
I don’t want to lose my new boyfriend or risk getting hurt by my husband again.
