The Circle US star Chloe Veitch has opened up about breaking down in unaired scenes, as things became too much.

The star has been one of the most popular contestants on season two of the US series and managed to get herself into the upcoming final, which drops on Netflix next week.

However, chatting to Metro.co.uk about taking part in the competition, she confessed that there had been ‘tears and tantrums’ along the way.

‘I know it sounds stupid but one of the hardest moments I had in there was when I got the question in the quiz, and it was a brain teaser,’ she recalled.

‘Now you see me on TV, laughing and joking, I don’t even know my west and my south and my east… But I got really stressed and I think I even cried, to be honest.

‘They didn’t show that because obviously it’s a quiz and I’m just overly emotional.

‘Maths has never been my strong point and I’ve never got compasses or anything like that, so that for me, it really brought me back to when I was in school and I used to just kick off because I never really used to understand things.’

Viewers have been glued to their screens during the second series of the reality show, in which the contestants battle it out to become the most popular person in the Circle – in a bid to take home the $100,000 (£71k) prize money.

Which is a lot more than Chloe took home from appearing on Too Hot To Handle, just FYI.

When asked if it was weird watching the episodes back now, having finished the competition, she explained that she had forgotten how ‘hard’ it was in those famous flats.

‘I’ve got a very different look on the Circle,’ she told us. ‘Because I experienced it, watching it back on TV, you almost forget how hard it was.

‘It’s like, “Oh yeah, you’ve got to block this player, oh it’s the ratings, they’ve got to rate each other now.” But actually, I was sending myself mental in there.

‘There was tears, there was tantrums, there was times where I was just like, “I’m sick of it. I just don’t get it. Everyone’s coming for me. Everyone wants me out”.

‘I never played tactics. My only tactic was to go in there and flirt but then obviously I started catching feelings for Trevor, so that went out the window.

‘I feel like watching it back and seeing everyone be so tactical is really strange to me because I wasn’t tactical one bit. I didn’t understand.’

Well, we can see if those tactics (or lack of them) paid off when the Circle US finale airs next week.

The Circle US finale is on Netflix on May 5, with all other episodes available to stream now.
