UFC Fight Night: Prochazka vs Reyes- Prediction and Analysis
The main event at UFC Vegas 25 this weekend will feature a bout between light heavyweights Jiri Prochazka and Dominick Reyes as the two men chase the incumbent Jan Blachowicz. The 205-pound strap will be defended later this year as the Polish champion takes on Glover Teixeira.
Both Prochazka and Reyes will be hoping to secure an impressive win this weekend so as to throw their name in the hat for a chance to fight the winner at UFC 266. Reyes has previously fought for the title twice and has fallen short both times. Prochazka on the other hand is yet to fight for UFC gold.
Ahead of the fight between the two men, we take a look at the strengths and weaknesses of each fighter and a possible route to victory for both fighters involved.

Can Dominick Reyes bounce back after a two-fight skid at UFC Vegas 25?
Dominick Reyes made his UFC debut in June 2017 with a TKO win over Joachim Christensen. He then went on to win his next five fights that ultimately set up a title fight against Jon Jones in February 2020. Reyes is currently on a two-fight skid with back-to-back losses against the likes of Jon Jones and Jan Blachowicz. He will be aiming to get back to the win column this weekend.
Jiri Prochazka made his UFC debut in July 2020 when he stopped Volkan Oezdemir in the second round via KO. He is currently on an 11-fight win streak and will be aiming to build on that this weekend against a seasoned opponent in Dominick Reyes.
Reyes is primarily known for his striking and has secured 58% of his wins via T/KO. He has landed an impressive 4.88 significant strikes per minute in his UFC career thus far while absorbing just 3 in return. Reyes will be at a 3-inch reach deficit against Prochazka and will have to be extremely sharp defensively so as to not get caught with anything venomous ‘Denisa’ throws his way.
‘Denisa’ on the other hand is a devastating knockout artist and has secured a mind-boggling 89% of his wins via T/KO. He has landed a devastating 5.67 significant strikes per minute in his UFC career thus far while absorbing concerning 7.05 per minute.
The fight between the two men will depend largely on who has a better defense. Both men are excellent strikers and knock the other person out with one punch. However, given recent performances and results, Prochazka should be able to advance to 2-0 in the UFC.
Prediction: Jiri Prochazka via T/KO.
