‘Better at Golf’ – Max Homa Positive About His Game on the PGA Tour

Max Homa has tremendously improved his game on the PGA Tour. Homa turned professional in 2013 and it took him six years to win a tour event. However, it is the undying mentality to improve that is propelling him to keep trying. Homa is aware that he’s a much better player now, and he does not want to hide the fact. 

Homa is a star on Twitter. The California native is never shy of expressing his views on the social media platform, but he’s not the same in front of the camera. Homa is currently a part of the field at the 2021 Valspar Championship where he ended Round 2 tied for third place. 

It was an impressive finish from Homa who does not boast an impressive record at the Valspar Championship. When asked about the reason behind his splendid game, Homa said: 

“I think I’m just better at golf now. I told my wife that there’s a few tee shots out here I remember being anxious over and I came showed up this week on Wednesday and was rolling my eyes that I thought that that was as demanding as it was.”

“So I just think I’m getting a little bit better, feeling more comfortable out here. It’s a golf course that should suit me pretty well the way I play the game typically, so it’s nice to come back and kind of — I haven’t been here in a while — so I had fresh, kind of fresh look at it and not really any bad memories, no good memories either, but that’s okay sometimes,” he added. 

Max Homa is flying high on confidence at the moment

Having a strong mental game is essential for a golfer. It is as important as having a strong fundamental game, and Max Homa is aware of it. Homa has not always tasted success in his career. He’s faced plenty of hardships but never wants to give up trying. 

“In my career there’s a lot of places I haven’t had a lot of success, so it’s hard to get too down about that. But, yeah, no, I mean good golf is good golf. Good golf travels,” Homa said. 

Homa’s career has seen a lot of ups and downs ever since his maiden tour victory in 2019. He achieved four Top-10 finishes in 2020 and is set for a promising run in the ongoing season. 

Max Homa has already grabbed a title in 2021 by winning the Genesis Invitational. Can he win one more before the season wraps up?
