First of all, Bouchard opened up on her alternative profession. As strange as it can get, she said she would have been an air traffic controller.

Following that, the current World No.120 named 22 majors champion Steffi Graf as her tennis idol growing up. Unsurprisingly, to what is her favorite Grand Slam tournament, she responded, Wimbledon, for sure.”

Furthermore, Bouchard faced an unusual question in the mix. The interviewer asked her, “Who has the best hair in tennis?” After a momentary pause, the Canadian said, “Tsitsipas,” with a wry smile.

Nicknamed Greek God, the 22-year-old Stefanos Tsitsipas is one of the most elegant active players on the ATP Tour. Moreover, his one-handed backhands bring back memories of the good-old tennis style.

At the ongoing men and women combined tournament, the Mutua Madrid Open 2021, Tsitsipas will play as the third seed. Bouchard opted out from the event for reasons unknown.

Will Bouchard play at the French Open 2021?

Bouchard started her 2021 campaign with an unsuccessful attempt to qualify for the Australian Open. Afterward, she reached her first WTA final in six months in Guadalajara.

However, continuing on her inconsistent path, the Canadian lost in the opening round in the following tournament, Monterrey Open. She presently has a 5-4 record on the women’s tour.

Most importantly, Bouchard would most certainly have eyes set on the French Open 2021. But she might have to work her way through the main event as a qualifier.

Even though she is not in the WTA Top 100 rankings, Bouchard has more fans than most players included. They have all hoped to see her surge the women’s circuit for the past few years. Hopefully, 2021 will be the year for her much-anticipated comeback.
