Fan Guide: What You Should Know Before Attending Kansas Speedway for NASCAR Cup and Truck Series Races
This weekend, the NASCAR Cup Series visits the Kansas Speedway. As expected, the track authorities published a set of guidelines for the fans to follow. Obviously, the world is still in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and NASCAR is taking as many precautions as possible.
The Kansas Speedway authorities worked in tandem with public health officials and medical experts. They, along with local and state officials, hope to host the race in a safe environment to reduce risk of infection. Owing to this, the track officials have come up with a number of restrictions and regulations.
First and foremost, there will be a reduced seating capacity. The idea is that the seats will be spread further apart to maintain social distancing. As a result, the fans’ seating numbers may be different than the seat numbers they originally purchased. Speaking of tickets, they will all be digital or fans have to print them at home itself

It is also worth noting that the infield is restricted to only competition-essential personnel. The sole exception goes to the people using the limited GEICO Infield Camping. Meanwhile, several amenities that are normally available on a normal race weekend, will be absent.
This includes GEICO Tent Camping, Pre-Race Passes & FanWalk Tickets, Ignition Garage Hospitality and Paid Parking. On the subject of paid parking, the reduced capacity means that grandstand customers will not receive any passes for parking. Upon entry, each spectator will be screened and are expected to carry their own face masks.
In addition to that, there are a number of hand-washing stations scattered across the venue. Other measures include a specified team of staff members to help clean and disinfect guests. All in all, the Kansas Speedway authorities are pulling out all the stops to ensure that the NASCAR race runs smoothly.
