‘I Don’t Think It’s a Good Deal for Him’- Joe Rogan Opens Up on Jon Jones Situation

Even before Francis Ngannou and Stipe Miocic were done, the UFC had planned an eventual fight between the winner of that match and Jon Jones. Therefore, when Ngannou defeated Miocic via a knockout, a super fight between Jones and Ngannou was all set to happen.

Eventually, though, there was a lot of dispute between Jones and the UFC regarding the match fees. Jones even went on a Twitter spree to call out UFC for not paying fighters enough money. People from all around the world have commented on the situation, and now UFC commentator and analyst Joe Rogan shared his views on the same.

While Rogan was in conversation with Tom Segura, the pair discussed who would be the best opponent for Ngannou next. Rogan said, “The smart fight is the Jon jones fight, that’s the smart fight, but the UFC is gonna have to pony up that cheddar.”

A fight between Ngannou and Jones could be something special, and fans all around the world thought of the fight as possibly the biggest in UFC history. Joe Rogan also believes the same, “It’s like if you look at what the potential is, I think the potential is the biggest fight of all time. I really do believe that.”

Rogan continued, “If they limited his amount that he could earn, not based on the potential of the fight. I don’t think it’s a good deal for him and he kind of feels like that his whole carer he’s basically gotten good paydays, but they could have been better.”

Although Rogan actually believes that both parties will eventually come to terms and the fight will happen, “I think they’ll do the right thing, I think they’ll figure it out, I think it’s the biggest fight in the history of the sport.”

Dana White claims Jon Jones asked for $30 million

White and Jones have been taking shots at each other since the fight became a prospect. While Jones claimed he isn’t being paid enough money, White says Jones is asking for way too much. During a recent interview, White talked about how much money Jones really wants.

“In his deal, he’s talking he wants $30 million guaranteed. The way that this works is these guys all share in the pay-per-view. He will share in the profits of the fight. That’s how it works. That’s how you run a business, and you don’t go broke.”

Although just after White said this Jones was quick to respond, Bones took to Twitter to dismiss all claims made by the UFC President.

” I never discussed wanting 30 million with you or Hunter, Dana White, just wondering where you heard that number? Is someone speaking with you on my behalf or?”

Which of the two parties is telling the truth we do not know. Although one thing is sure, Joe Rogan like most of the MMA fans out there, would love to see a fight between Ngannou and Jones and hopes that Jones and the UFC can make a deal.
