Randy Orton Reveals Why He Won’t Choose Hollywood Over WWE Like John Cena and Batista

Many WWE Superstars have crossed over to mainstream media following a remarkable run in the company. The likes of The Rock, John Cena, and Batista have all done it. But their contemporary, Randy Orton, said he is not interested in that.

Orton’s career spans two decades and a dozen world title reigns. Recently he appeared on the Kurt Angle show and spoke out his future plans.

While many superstars made sure to have a long-lasting impact in the entertainment industry by making the jump to Hollywood, “The Viper” would rather be in WWE for life.

You know, a lot of guys, I see them branching out and do other things or making sure they have something lined up for when they can’t wrestle anymore,” Orton said. “I kind of, and I don’t know if this is showing my cards or not, but I kind of see myself being in WWE, you know, for life. I don’t know why I would go anywhere else.

Orton also revealed he regularly sends out audition clips and even has a script in hand right now. Yet, acting is not his passion and he won’t jump to that.

I’m not trying to move to Hollywood or move to New York and be a full-time actor. The way Batista did it, the way Cena did it, is that they used WWE as a kind of jumping board to go to Hollywood and all that stuff,” Orton explained further.

Orton has done a fair share of movies. As the norm goes, most of them were under WWE Studios. He has done six movies till now. The last movie, “Changeland” (a comedy-drama) came out in 2019.

Randy Orton is happy with WWE right now

After almost a year-long rivalry with Alexa Bliss and The Fiend, Orton has now teamed up with former United States Champion Matt Riddle. Although he didn’t seem too happy with the team on-screen, in reality, “The Legend-Killer” is happy with WWE.

I think I’m content is the wrong word; happy is the right word with kind of my place in the WWE right now. The money is good. The talent is good. The locker room is great. I have a good relationship with all the people in charge,” Orton explained. (h/t Sportskeeda)

While Orton would not mind being a Marvel superhero, but he would rather work with WWE till he seems fit. As of now he is focusing solely on his team with Riddle on RAW.
