“Take One Step Forward” – Novak Djokovic Teases Inspirational New Ad For ASICS Tennis

Serbian superstar Novak Djokovic has featured in a new advertisement for globally renowned tennis shoes, apparel, and equipment maker, ASICS Tennis.

The ad sends out an inspiring message of how not to be overawed of reputations on a tennis court and bring out one’s best to beat the best.

Novak Djokovic’s new ad celebrates the triumph of human spirit

The current World No.1 has lent his voice to the advertisement which goes by the tagline, “Take one step forward.”

The spot seeks to celebrate the triumph of human spirit, which can help one rise above all the odds and accomplish great things.

It says it’s the belief and strength of character that takes one “to the next level,” a leap of faith that separates a star from a superstar.

The 18-time Grand Slam champion is heard saying in the advertisement that there was a time in his career when he faced the top tennis players as a rookie and found the “courage” to win.

Djokovic teased the new advertisement campaign on his official Twitter handle, saying that the objective is to make one’s mind and body working in tandem towards the ultimate goal of greatness.

The Serb added that sport is a vehicle for one to make his dreams come true, and the advertisement is aimed at making everyone realize the “incredible power” it has to make a difference to one’s life.

“Our mission: to propel body and mind forward. @ASICStennis and I created a short film under the same belief that sport has incredible power, and I hope you feel that too,” the reigning Australian Open champion tweeted.

On the career front, the defending champion recently withdrew from the Mutua Madrid Open this year.

The decision not to travel to the Spanish capital to defend the Masters 1000 title came in the wake of unflattering returns in back-to-back events.

Djokovic crashed out of the Monte-Carlo Masters after falling to a shock loss to British No.1 Dan Evans.

He followed up with the first defeat in his homeland since 2005 at the hands of rising Russian Aslan Karatsev in a knife-edged three-setter at Serbia Open.

The Serb is expected to return at the Italian Open in Rome where he will eye a good run ahead of Roland-Garros.
