Line Of Duty series 6 is set to come to an end tonight with the hotly-anticipated episode 7 finale.

Fans are expected to tune into BBC One in their millions this evening as the last installment of Jed Mercurio’s critically acclaimed drama comes to a close, and we will finally find out who H is.

According to former cast member Craig Parkinson, the upcoming installment will ‘shock and frustrate’ viewers – and Mother of God are we ready.

Fans have been sharing their theories far and wide since the season began in March, but how do they reckon series six will end?

Well, look no further…

Chief Constable Philip Osborne will be revealed as ‘H’

The mysterious ‘H’ has remained under wraps since the end of series three and while there are many theories as to who they could be, viewers are convinced Chief Constable Philip Osborne (Owen Teale) is the bent copper at large.

In a poll of 1,232 Line Of Duty viewers, YouGov discovered that the majority of the respondents believe will be the bent copper in question, receiving 22% of the votes.

Patricia Carmichael (Anna Maxwell Martin) came in second with 19% of the votes, while 8% thought that ‘H’ will turn out to be someone else not mentioned in the options.

Some fans are preparing themselves for the worst after an ominous line from gaffer Superintendent Ted Hastings (Adrian Dunbar) in episode six.

Following a twist-filled interview with Jo Davidson (Kelly Macdonald), Ted took Steve Arnott (Martin Compston) aside and delivered a worrying line that could be foreshadowing his death.

‘Sometimes you don’t lose, son. You just run out of time,’ he said.

Is this the beginning of the end for Ted, or are we reading too much into it?

James Nesbitt’s character Marcus Thurwell is still alive

Line of Duty fans are convinced that James Nesbitt’s character Marcus Thurwell is still alive after spotting what they believe to be a key detail in episode six.

The installment saw Spanish police conduct a raid to infiltrate Marcus’s last known address as AC-12 stepped up their investigation into the death of Gail Vella (Andi Osho).

Ted and AC-12 watched via video link as police officers found two corpses in grainy green and black night-vision footage.

The bodies were identified as ‘Mr and Mrs Thurwell’ by officers on the scene, but their faces weren’t seen on screen.

Seconds later, a still from the episode showed the eyes of a masked officer – and viewers noticed his strong eyebrows showed a striking resemblance to Marcus.

Is he actually still alive?

DC Chloe Bishop exposed as bent copper

Fans have grown increasingly concerned that DC Chloe Bishop (Shalom Brune-Franklin) is a bent copper and is related to DCI Tony Gates, a corrupt officer who was AC-12’s first central investigation all the way back in series one.

In episode five, Chloe gave Detective Chief Superintendent Carmichael a suspicious glance, prompting viewers to leap to the conclusion they’re in cahoots.

The evidence against her is mounting, so surely it’s only a matter of time before she’s exposed?

Line Of Duty series 6 episode 7 will be the last episode

Ahead of the upcoming episode, Martin Compston suggested Line of Duty could be ending for good as the BBC is yet to confirm a series seven.

‘We’re in a situation where it’s not entirely clear that there will be a seventh series,’ he explained.

‘It’s different elements this year, because we have to look it in terms of, do people want us back? You don’t want to overdo it. 10 years in you start to think of legacy, and if it goes down that well it might be the perfect ending.

‘But then we might go another couple of months and… what I will say is we won’t do one just for the sake of doing it.’

He added: ‘We don’t know [if there will be another series]. That’s nothing new. Jed [Mercurio] will only do it if there’s a story to be told.’

Line Of Duty series 6 finale airs tonight at 9pm on BBC One.
