This Morning’s Ruth Langsford expresses joy at getting second covid jab: ‘I’m so grateful’
Ruth Langsford was delighted to have the second dose of her coronavirus vaccine in Surrey on Saturday.
The television presenter, 61, was ‘so grateful’ to have the AstraZeneca jab and grinned as the needle went into her arm.
Sharing a picture of herself at the vaccination centre on Instagram, she wrote: ‘2nd Vaccine done!! ✅🎉🎉🎉 SO grateful.
‘Thank you to all the wonderful doctors, nurses and volunteers at the Walton on Thames vaccination centre for such a good experience…well organised, friendly and reassuring…and it was BUSY! Missed you @stephanieshervington but Sally did a great job! @nhsengland #covidvacccine’
This Morning host Ruth had her first injection in February after receiving an invitation by text message from the NHS.
Ruth has been making the most of the relaxation of coronavirus restrictions and was delighted to pay her mother Joan Langsford a visit in her care home.
The star took along her dog Maggie to see ‘Grandma’ after recently expressing her heartbreak at not being able to see her parent throughout lockdown, only being able to wave to her through a window.
Ruth previously struggled to hold back tears as she spoke about being separated from family and friends during the pandemic, saying: ‘I think people really need to see their loved ones and to touch them and to hold them.’
But finally in March this year, Ruth was able to finally see her mother face-to-face in the care home after a significant amount of time apart.
In a recent video shared on her Instagram account, the TV presenter gave her 1million followers an insight on the fun she had with her mum during today’s visit, posting a Boomerang of Joan waving at the camera.
‘Happy Saturday from me & Mum! So good to be able to spend time with her…despite all the PPE! #mum #visit #saturday,’ Ruth wrote in the caption.
